The People Behind the Work
Our Leadership
Carol Mburu
Co-Founder — Ephosel Group
Carol is a partnerships, agribusiness, and development professional with 14 years of experience building cross-sector ecosystems across Africa. As Executive Director of the Eastern and Southern African Dairy Association (ESADA) and African Coordinator of the African Women in Animal Resources Farming and Agribusiness Network, she has led regional platforms connecting industry practitioners, stakeholders, policymakers, financiers, and development partners to drive inclusive food systems and sustainable growth. A Bridge Africa Fellow (2024 & 2025), Carol brings deep expertise in stakeholder engagement, public-private partnerships, regional trade, and high-impact program delivery.
Loise Machira
Co-Founder — Ephosel Group
Loise is a communications, legal, and social advocacy professional whose work spans clean energy, wellness, and community development. As Communications Lead at KawiSafi Ventures, a clean energy venture capital fund, she drove climate storytelling, ESG impact assessment, and digital strategy across a portfolio of renewable energy solutions in Africa. A trained Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a background in Public International Law, she has shaped inclusive policy, including Kenya’s Mental Health Amendment Law (2022). As Kenya’s first Global Wellness Day Ambassador and now Emeritus Ambassador, the first African and eighth globally to hold this distinction, she brings 14 years of expertise in wellness, leadership coaching, and community transformation.
